The Evil Empire that is called Monsanto.

Just saw a frightening documentary on Free Speech TV, that explained how Monsanto tricked millions of Indian Farmers (In India, as opposed to American Indians) into debt servitude (Slave labor) with the introduction of Monsanto Cotton plants that had Systemic Insecticide in them because of Gene mutations introduced in Monsanto laboratories.

In India it was traditional to harvest the cotton and let the cows and other animals on the farm to graze the plants down to the ground before the soil was tilled for replanting. So the Indians harvested the cotton and then allowed their cattle and mules and horses into the fields to eat the cotton plants and weeds that grew up around the plants.

Those animals all started getting sick and dying because the cotton plants were poisonous. Monsanto had not bothered to tell the poor farmers that their profit from animal feed after the cotton harvest would be nil.

Deliberate? Unintentional?

The Indian farmers all across the country went bankrupt not only because of the death of their animals, but the crop yield of the cotton plants was not what Monsanto projected, and the farmers simply could not pay back the debt that was compounding because of interest charges. Almost makes you think of poor American sharecroppers who could only buy at the Company store because that store carried their credit and kept them perpetually in debt. How evil!

Half a Million Indian farmers have now committed suicide because they were wiped out by Monsanto. In India, if a man can not provide for his family, it is to his shame, and they frequently can not stand the disgrace so decide that death is the only option that has a small amount of honor associated with it. In India it is not a crime to lie about potential projected crop yields, so Monsanto is off Scott-free. (Had to put that in there.
